Philanthropy Management, Example II

Planning and implementation of personal promotion strategies for benefactors and founders.

Starting Point

The client, in this case a benefactor or founder with a strong affinity for water sports, wants to financially sponsor an up and coming canoeist, without financial deliberations.

Goal

The athlete should be enabled to balance her academic education alongside her training in the olympic squad. The benefactor’s financial support of her professional training and assistance will assist her in her athletic development. This also means that the athlete should not have to deal with organizational aspects, such as transfers and training camps. Beyond this, the client wants to increase the athlete’s profile in the public eye through appropriate marketing.

Course of Action

Adiuventia supports the client’s comprehensive assistance of the athlete. Structures and processes will be created in order for the canoeist to reach her full potential together with specially selected coaches. In the next step, the marketing towards a greater public awareness of the athlete’s profile will be created, from concept to the finishing touches. The main focus will be the marketing through new media outlets (internet presence, etc.), while the usual modes of communication (billboard advertising, TV appearances) will equally be employed.
